Welcome to Bridge Street Toastmasters easy-speak site

Bridge Street Toastmasters started in January 2014 as Standards Australia’s corporate Toastmasters club. In July 2014 it became an open club inviting in city professionals who wanted to improve their communication skills.

We are a dynamic, fun group of professionals from Standards Australia, Arab Bank and other companies in the nearby area. We were conveniently located at the ASX building on Bridge Street, in the heart of the financial district and just a short walk from Wynyard and Circular Quay stations. In 2019 we moved to the meeting rooms of Learnosity, at 1 Margaret St. We currently meet online.

Our club thrives on hosting fun meetings. We laugh a lot and pride ourselves on our warm culture.

We also recognise the importance of meetings running to schedule so that our members can get back from their lunchbreaks on time.

Note: This club was named 'AS 86278 (Toast)' from March 2014 to November 2018. The club became an open club in July 2014.

About Our Club

Bridge Street Toastmasters meets every 1st and 3rd Wednesday at 12.30-1.30pm in the Sydney CBD.

We run through a rapid-fire one hour agenda every meeting including:

- Prepared speeches by our members
- 'Table Topics' - an opportunity to practise impromptu speaking skills by getting up and talking about a mystery topic without any prior preparation.
- 'Evaluations' - positive feedback with recommendations to help you improve your skills.

The Toastmasters Mission
A statement of shared values

Every Toastmasters club shares the same mission, clearly defined in the following mission statement:

We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.

Through this mission, each Toastmaster gains a clear understanding of the club's purpose, and the organization as a whole benefits from a shared set of values and goals.
