Meeting Reports  (Ellerslie Sunrise Toastmasters) 
Movin' On - Tuesday 29th November 2011

Theme was Movin' On and was introduced by Tom who said we're movin' on from the Rugby World Cup, the Elections and now we're movin' onto Christmas!  Wow were did the year go?

Invocation was presented by Shona who used Kathrine Mansfield for inspiration and told us "to lean and laugh at ourselves" when failures occur.

Craig introduced the word of the day "Expostulate" meaning to reason earnestly to dissuade.  He then told us he was looking for those umm's and arr's and other gap fillers.

Table topics was introduced by Joan using the theme of being stranded on a desert...

Bring a Friend - 15th November 2011

Meeting theme was Bring a Friend and one friend came along!

Steve our chair got the meeting underway at our temporary venue (St Peter's Presbyterian Church)

Invocation was delivered by Tibor who quoted Steve Jobs the basic message was to follow your heart.  Certainly Steve Jobs did and was very influential in the computing industry.

Onwards and Upwards! 1st November 2011

A new name

A new Venue

A new Start

And it's 1/11/11!

Meeting set up was run like an well oiled machine even in the new venue.  Our chair for the meeting Shona introduced the theme of the day. Reinforced by Invocation from Jane (although the meetign report at this point did not have his meeting report cap on so he doesn't have the details to report in the meeting report!)

We introduced our guests Alan and Brendan.

Grammarian Steve gave the word of the day "Inception" meaning "Beginning".  Craig our table topics master challenged us...
