A reminder that on the 4th March we will be holding our Evaluations and International speech contest. The outline is as follows:
- Speech contest - Present a five to seven minute speech on any subject you choose. You must have completed at least 6 prepared speeches to compete.
- Evaluation contest - Observe a five-to seven-minute speech and then present a two-to three-minute evaluation of the speech. There are no other criteria aside from being a club member to participate.
The winners of both of these contests will go onto represent our club at the regional level. Looking for contestants now to do our club proud!
We are also looking for volunteers for other roles in the contest including Judges, vote counters, Sargent at arms, time keeper and a target speaker for the evaluation contest. If you would like to volunteer for any of these roles please let me know!

The Toastmasters Mission A statement of shared values
Every Toastmasters club shares the same mission, clearly defined in the following mission statement:
We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.
Through this mission, each Toastmaster gains a clear understanding of the club's purpose, and the organization as a whole benefits from a shared set of values and goals.
