moniker (noun) MON-ik-a



Real name or nickname. (There are several variant spellings.)

Monicker comes from the word munik, which means name in Shelta, the language used by travelling people in Britain and Ireland.

Suppose you call me Percy? Some peach of a moniker, Percy, ain't it?
