What would be the best way to provide a link on a District page to a Newsletter or other document?  Where would the document be stored?   We're just getting started with our new District page, and are not sure about some things like that.

Hi,

There may be better ways to do this but if you generated a forum post with an attachment you could copy the path to the attachment and paste it into the district page. The document would be stored on the easy-speak server.

Malcolm may have a better way to do it.

Kit.

We took a look at attaching one of our Newsletters to a Forum posting, but ran into a size limitation.  Our typical document is 2 MB PDF.  While attempting to attach it, a box comes up flagging a 256 kB limit.   What our District leaders would like to do is to build a "library" of downloadable reference documents for the members, but we have not yet been able to figure out how that might be accomplished within easy-Speak.

Would it be possible to increase the file size limitation on attachments to 3 MB?  We could then attach our multi-page District Newsletters to Forum Posts.

How about an alternative solution Bruce?

Display the images in a custom page that we put on the menu for your Distict and use an external host with page-turning software in Flash.
Example: http://d71.org/portal.php?page=120

That is an attractive alternative for posting newsletters, etc.  For the moment, however, we have been able to get our most current documents into formats with file size less than 256 kB, so they can be directly viewed via a link to a Forum Welcome posting.  We're set for the moment, but will get back to you if largr documents become an issue.
