Helo Malcolm,

I notice that it is easy to enter a double speech on the speech import function.

It might be helpful to have a pop up message to tell you that you are about to enter a double speech entry. Do you want to edit it?

Exactly, and not create a 2nd entry.

Some people choose to repeat a speech - that's acceptable.
There is validation however to prevent the same speech being entered and shown as delivered twice within a few days.
(Unless you're telling me that's not working - please give details if so)

No, people weren't choosing to repeat a speech.

They keep hitting the button multiple times because they think that Easy-Speak isn't working because the speech doesn't show up immediately, and there's nothing to indicate that the transaction succeeded (like a pop-up).

Although the idea of the Meeting Manager/Toastmaster/VPE accepting and scheduling the speech makes sense, most people in my club don't understand it, and I have to keep explaining this to them.

A pop-up to inform the user that the speech will appear once it's been accepted would make things easier for my club members.

@tomm - you are cross posting on a different issue. This thread is about speech IMPORT by spreadsheet when a club is getting started.
Paul has replied to your other posting about club members requesting a speech more than once - thank you for the suggestion we will make changes there.
