Shopping for an Advanced Club? You’ve come to the right place. We offer an engaging and supportive environment.
Advanced 60 Speakers can help take your presentation and evaluation skills to the next level.
We are an advanced Toastmasters club, dedicated to enabling our members to take their speaking skills to a higher level.
You’re already a seasoned speaker, probably with a Competent Communicator designation in hand, and want to advance your speaking, evaluation or leadership skills to the next level. Advanced 60 Speakers can help you.
Meeting format: Our meetings are 1 - 1/2 hours with a streamlined agenda – excluding several meeting elements that might be found in other Toastmasters clubs. Our agenda focuses on impromptu speaking, prepared presentations and evaluations.
Effective evaluations: With each speech, you’ll receive a dedicated speech evaluation as well as a round table evaluation to provide feedback from several different points of view – an excellent way to gauge the audience appeal of your message.
Opportunity for varied, longer speeches: Perhaps you’re doing a presentation at work or a workshop and require feedback before presenting it in the real world. Or perhaps the speech length in your advanced manual is too long to fit into a regular meeting. Maybe you’re doing a toast or a keynote speech, and need an audience to try it out on. We’d be delighted to adjust our agenda as needed.
You’ll receive a warm welcome whether it’s your first time meeting us or whether you’ve known us for a while. We’ll encourage you as you work through your advanced manuals and provide plenty of opportunity for you to complete both leadership and communication tracks of the program. If you’ve already achieved your DTM designation, we’ll provide a forum for you to keep your skills alive and to mentor newer members.
Experienced leaders: Our members’ accomplishments are varied and extensive – from district leadership to professional speaker. With our wealth of collective Toastmasters experience we can help you achieve your goals.
Opportunity to go beyond the club level: Many of our members have served at the area, division or district level and would be pleased to help you expand your network outside the club environment.
We meet: The 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm at the MEC Community Room, Ground Floor, 784 Sheppard Avenue East, North York ON M2K 1C3 (Between Leslie & Bayview, on the north side beside the Bessarion Subway Stop).
