Mandarin-English Toastmasters Mountain View (MET-MV) is a specialized Toastmasters Club where you can develop speaking and leadership skills in English, in Mandarin Chinese or in both languages.

Toastmasters offers communication and leadership skills very different from what can be gained in ESL or conversation classes. It is much cheaper and operates through the Toastmasters program which has been developed and proven for over 90 years worldwide. Develop communication and leadership competencies that you need in your career and other work.

MET-MV is here to provide service and educational opportunities for everyone especially those in the Mountain View community. Regularly apply lessons learned in English or in Mandarin language classes, and reach the next level! Speak your non-native language, as best as you can, in a safe and encouraging environment. Speak your native language, to help non-native speakers learn. Receive encouragment and lessons from those who are native speakers of the language you want to learn. Provide encouragement and lessons to those who are learning your native language. Practice running professional meetings in either language. Mingle with others of all ages and from many different walks of life. Volunteer work with others, stay active and keep your mind sharp. Speech contest opportunities in Mandarin, English and/or both languages.

All levels of proficiency are welcome. Visits to Club meetings are always free for everyone at any time. To join Toastmasters, minimum age is 18 years old. No maximum age.

MET-MV first met on Tuesday 20 September 2016, and chartered on 1 March 2017.
