Club News

A reminder that on the 4th March we will be holding our Evaluations and International speech contest.  The outline is as follows:

  1. Speech contest - Present a five to seven minute speech on any subject you choose.  You must have completed at least 6 prepared speeches to compete.
  1. Evaluation contest - Observe a five-to seven-minute speech and then present a two-to three-minute evaluation of the speech.  There are no other criteria aside from being a club member to participate.

The winners of both of these contests will go onto represent our club at the regional level. Looking for contestants now to do our club proud!

We are also looking for volunteers for other roles in the contest including Judges, vote counters, Sargent at arms, time keeper and a target speaker for the evaluation contest.  If you would like to volunteer for any of these roles please let me know!

About Our Club

Welcome to NRMA Toastmasters Club!

Thank you for having a look at NRMA Toastmasters Club (Toastmasters Club 9638).

The club meets on the first and third Wednesday of every month in the IAG Building (Level 11, Tower 2, Darling Park, 201 Sussex St, Sydney) in Sydney.  The meeting room varies with each meeting which the reception staff will have information for.  We meet from 12:30pm to 1:30pm and guests are always welcome.

The Toastmasters Mission
A statement of shared values

Every Toastmasters club shares the same mission, clearly defined in the following mission statement:

We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.

Through this mission, each Toastmaster gains a clear understanding of the club's purpose, and the organization as a whole benefits from a shared set of values and goals.
