Meeting Minutes --
Our Toastmaster, Sophie (VP Education), gave a wonderful deepdive into Toastmasters' Pathways program. This was especially timely given some newer members attending today. We are all empowered to manage and follow our own path now. Thank you Sophie!  We also celebrated Sophie's Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) award! 11 years in the making, what a TREMENDOUS ACCOMPLISHMENT

Beth's speech about the differences between Narrative Non-fiction and Non-fiction highlighted some wonderful stories described in her most recently published book, Tracks West - New Mexico: The True Cost of Civil War (Yankee Gold). If you love history, please check it out HERE.
Every one may be wondering how Financial Analyst's can infuse creativity at work? Dinesh's speech about stimulating creativity reflects on how it impacts our working lives.

Chris' WoTD (Word of The Day) taught us that these speeches were a fecund source of information.

Dani's questions for Table Topics on Pathways, Toastmasters, and Describing yourself in 6 words were challenging and thoughtful.

Haider's speaking tips informed us that our presentation begins when the audience sees us, so show self-confidence and own the stage!
A warm welcome to our guest Srini!

As summer winds down, Chaitali taught us watermelon is a vegetable in her summer Toastmaster theme. Mahendra took us to the top of Mount Washington in his speech about his vacation to Boston. Jason wisely taught us you can go faster alone, but you will go farther and the change will stick longer if you do it with others. Scotch whiskey comes from the Scots but Bourbon whiskey does not come from the 'burbs -- Haider educated us in the finer points of whiskey distillation. Unfortunately there were no free samples. But fortunately we were graced with the presence of Namita Jain, our Area Director.

Welcome to guests Natasha, Cynthia, Luke, Srini, and Edna!

Breathing techniques can change your life if you can do it right, A speech by Chaitali Roy is well delivered. Taking Vacation is very important from your busy schedule is needed by Stephanie Flanders has got everyone’s attention. Nathan’s table topics about risk and reward is perfect while Chaitali is preparing for her Everest base camp training. Wondering how and why Icecream cones were invented? You have to be at the meeting to know.

07/23/2019 - Dinesh’s theme of the day about Honeybee facts gave us amazing information. How bees can solve a salesman's problem easily and many more interesting facts. Thank you Dinesh.
Edlyn’s speech about long term care insurance is very informative and something everyone should consider at some point. She took an unique approach with question and answer after the speech. Well done Edlyn.
Todd’s questions for Table Topics on Honeybees were well done and timely (Laughing)
A warm welcome to new and returning guests Mark and Himanshu!
Scheduled to speak on July 30 are JASON, RICK, AND ANDY.

The Toastmasters Mission
A statement of shared values

Every Toastmasters club shares the same mission, clearly defined in the following mission statement:

We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater selfconfidence and personal growth.

Through this mission, each Toastmaster gains a clear understanding of the club's purpose, and the organization as a whole benefits from a shared set of values and goals.
