Welcome to Aim High Toastmasters on easySpeak!

Members and Guests: Aim High Toastmasters normally meets weekly from 12:05-12:55 PM each Wednesday. We are currently meeting as a "hybrid" club, with club meetings conducted simultaneously for remote attendees via the Zoom application, along with physical attendees from  the John H. Winters Building at 701 W 51st St, Austin, TX 78751In Zoom, search for Aim High Toastmasters to join the waiting room of our scheduled Zoom meeting. Visitors are always welcome! If you are not yet a member of our club, please expect to respond to a message from our Zoom meeting host prior to admission to the club meeting from the waiting room.

Many State of Texas employees have physically returned to their office working environments for some portions of the week. Visitors are also welcome in State meeting rooms, and the club meeting is typically in Winters Room 103W, on the first floor of the West Tower. If you are arriving from outside the Winters facility and do not have a State identification badge, you will first need to check in at the security desk inside the north entrance by providing a photo ID. The security personnel will print you a visitors badge, and you will be escorted to the meeting room by a club member.

Visitor parking in the state lot is free. (Avoid the few clearly-marked spaces that are reserved at all times for state officials.) Aim High typically meets on the first floor of the West Tower in Room 103W. On rare occasions when the north parking lot is full, there is additional free parking available in the parking garage the North Austin Complex, 4601 Guadalupe, Austin TX 78751 (just south of the Winters buildings).

Toastmasters Mission

The Toastmasters Mission
A statement of shared values

Every Toastmasters club shares the same mission, clearly defined in the following mission statement:

We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.

Through this mission, each Toastmaster gains a clear understanding of the club's purpose, and the organization as a whole benefits from a shared set of values and goals.

Club News

Hello Aim High members! There are multiple speech and meeting role slots available at this time. If you haven't spoken or done a meeting role in awhile, please consider signing up. Improving our skills comes from consistent practice. Also, your active participation helps us share the load so that all members are contributing equally. Thank you for being a valued members of Aim High Toastmasters!

Welcome new members Shannon and Miranda! We are so honored to help in your journey of professional development with Toastmasters!

Hello Aim High club members! We are always adding new members and are in need of mentors to help guide them on their journey with Toastmasters. Mentoring is a great way to give back to others and pass on your skills and knowledge to the next generation of Toastmasters leaders. Being a mentor also helps you to learn and grow from the perspective of another person looking at the club with fresh eyes. Contact VP-Ed Catherine for details. Thanks for being a leader with Aim High!
