One way or another we have always relied on other people to get better or to reach our full potential, going as far as to learn from people we do not like or we do not understand.
The axiom applies to all aspects of our lives and sometimes we simply do it without realizing it. In essence, we are always looking up to someone or mimicking the habits or patterns, successfully or not, of our friends, family, co-workers and leaders.
To put it simply, and plainly - mentorship provides experience, guidance and support. We glean and learn best from those with experience, from those we respect.
If you tell me, you are a perfect speaker and a great leader then stop reading and smile.
If you think, regardless of your level of expertise, that you want to learn and become a better leader and a better orator, then you need a mentor, and we will be happy to provide one for you.
Patience is a quality we look to and foster in our mentorship program so we can diligently develop a plan to improve your orator skills.
Let Chris know if you want a mentor and he will make sure you are paired with someone who will help you to progress through your speaking and leadership projects.
New members - do not worry - you will be assigned a mentor even if you do not put in a request.
Best regards,
Carlos
