Table Topics: Table topics encourage good listening and quick thinking skills by challenging members during the session.  The purpose of Table Topics is to encourage members to “think on their feet and speak for approximately two minutes.  The table topics master prepares and issues the topics, calling on members to speak without preparation.

The Table Topics Master can prepare a variety of topics for impromptu discussion by each meeting attendee.  It's preferable to call on those who don't already have speaking roles, although it's also perfectly acceptable to call on volunteers.  It's generally a good idea to try to relate the Table Topics to the theme of the meeting, although this is not required.
