Grammarian/Ah Counter/Word Master - For the purposes of Astounding Communicators, we combine these titles together into one role.  The Sargent at Arms has paperwork for the Grammarian to fill out.

Listens intently throughout the meeting for exceptional and poor uses of the English language and provides an oral report at the end of the meeting. Listens for unnecessary words and sounds used as a crutch or filler by anyone who speaks during the meeting and provides an oral report at the end of the meeting. Introduces a new vocabulary word to the attendees to be incorporated into speech throughout the meeting.

Ah Counter: People often use crutch word or fillers such as um, ah, you know, well, etc. These words can be annoying to listeners.  The Ah Counter notes these words so that speakers can become more aware of them and can try to lessen their use of them. In Power Communicator’s Club, the grammarian performs the function of Ah Counter.

Grammarian: The grammarian introduces the word of the day and comments on the use and misuse of the English language during the meeting.
