Good communicators tend to become good leaders, according to Toastmasters International. Extraordinary communication skills are especially important for the project manager. The Canadian West Coast Chapter (CWCC) is pleased to provide an opportunity for you to join other local project managers in our own PMI Vancouver Toastmasters Club!

Meeting Information: 
Date: Every Thursday Night
Time: 7:00pm  - 9:00pm

4519 Canada Way, Burnaby, B.C., V5G 1J9.
TELUS Mobility Building, near Willingdon Ave., across from BCIT.
Go to the lobby and sign in with security. We hold our meetings in the cafeteria.

Membership Information:
This club is a Toastmasters club with a focus for Project Managers who are interested in improving their spoken communication, meeting management and presentation skills. The club is an open club and a project management background is not a requirement to join as a member or a guest.

We are affiliated with PMI (Project Management Institute) and we provide additional advantages for PMI credential holders as reviewed below.  We strive to make our meeting run like well planned projects with a focus on membership development and improvement.

Fees:
A one time $30.00 CAD new member's registration fee is required from Toastmasters.org. (fee is a one time only members who have been a member of any Toastmasters club previously can weive this fee as long as they can login to their Toastmasters.org account).

The club membership fee is $75.00CAD per 6 months, or $150.00CAD for a full year.
Ongoing membership fee ($75 CAD per six months) dues twice every year on April 1 and October 1, and new member's first membership fee is prorated.

To sign up you can fill in the membership application and submit electronically by email or bring to the meeting.
(NOTE: The Fees Portion of the membership application is to remain Blank as club fees are applied through the club)

After registration new members will sign up for the Pathways education program on toastmasters.org. Information on the Pathways education program is available on the District 96 website Pathways Learning Experience.  

PERKS with our club:

  • PMPs can earn PDUs while taking on meeting roles or performing speeches at the PMI Vancouver Toastmasters Club.
  • With a focus on Project Magegment, club members will have unique opportunities to network with professionals and learn about project work in a wide variety of industries.
