We will start the new Toastmasters year with our leadership handover meeting on Tuesday, the 2^nd of July.  As usual, it will be from 12:15 pm for a 12:30 pm start in the Master Builders House Training Room, 316 Sturt St, Townsville City.  Don't forget to bring a plate to share with everyone!

Our meeting theme last 4^th of June—"Warm Winter Wonder"—aptly described Townsville that day and the rest of our wonderful winter season.  Toastmaster of the Day Carmen pointed out that while our southern neighbours are being swept by mega cold fronts, we are all enjoying our relatively blue skies, warm days, and cool nights (Carmen pictured rowing with a friend on Ross River).  In fact, Townsville has recently been named by Wotif, an international hotel reservation service website, as the best spot to visit during winter, beating only Bali and Phuket!  It has been...

At our regular Toastmasters meeting last 4^th of June, VP of Education Ruth awarded certificates of completion to Joyce for achieving level one in Effective Coaching and to Sandra for achieving level two in Visionary Communication.  Congratulations, ladies!
