Our Meetings
Networking and Fellowship – a 15-minute period to better get to know one another.
Opening – Pledge of Allegiance, thought for the day, Toastmaster remarks, and General Evaluator instructions.
Prepared Speeches - two or three members will deliver a prepared speech of 5-7 minutes each to practice and improve their speech craft.
Table Topics – participants are posed with a topic related to the meeting theme and immediately give a 1-2 minute talk on their topic. Attendees then vote on the best Table Topic presentation. Table Topics help us to improve our impromptu speaking skills.
Evaluation – Each of the prepared speeches is given a formal evaluation by another club member, and then all evening presenters are provided with feedback regarding to time and verbal ticks (Um’s, Ah’s, long pauses, etc.) The meeting is also evaluated for organization and flow.
Closing Announcements – the Club President and other officers share any pertinent information on upcoming events or activities.
Adjournment – we wrap-up by 9:00 p.m. |
