How it works

You are free to come and observe without feeling pressured to speak.  The environment is friendly and supportive.   There 0 - 2 prepared speeches, and with the remaining time individuals can speak for 1-2 minutes about a topic that will be given impromptu.  At the end, feedback is given to all of the participants (how long did you speak, grammer, filler words, etc.).

If you choose to become a member you'll find that the self-paced program allows you to build confidence with each speaking assignment.

Guests are allowed to visit as often as they like before becoming a member, and guest can participate in the impromptu speaking portion of the meeting.  One thing that you'll love at Toastmaster meetings is the applause.  Once you decide that you are comfortable enough to speak, you will be applauded for your efforts.

Guest Speakers - Kevin Reeve

Meet History Channel Host of "Off the Grid: Million Dollar Manhunt" Kevin Reeve at Adobe HQ on July 11th 2012 @ 4pm

Adobe Toastmasters proudly presents Kevin Reeve, host of the History Channel's  Million Dollar Manhunt.

Kevin Reeve, Founder/Director of OnPoint Tactical

Kevin is founder/director of OnPoint Tactical Tracking School, an organization that has trained the Navy SEALs, US Army Rangers, Federal law enforcement professionals and numerous State/Municipal elite police teams on topics ranging from tracking fugitives, survival, evasion and urban operations.

Kevin Reeve, Founder/CEO of OnPoint Tactical

In addition, Kevin has served as consultant to Bencio Del Toro in the 2003 movie The Hunted, and featured as a subject matter expert in the History Channel's After Armageddon

He will be teaching a course on Urban Escape and Evasion in San Jose, where attendees are put through an intensive course on how to survive a kidnapping, culminating in the class's third day "final" where the students put their recently-acquired skills to the test: hooded, handcuffed, stripped of their cellphones/wallets and hunted by Kevin's team in a live-fire excercise at an undisclosed location in the Bay Area.

Longtime Adobe Toastmasters Officer Kai Chang took the Urban Escape and Evasion course in 2010 and wrote about his experience as a blog entry

For his talk at Adobe, Kevin will focus on digital and personal security in a Panopticon Society, and how our actions (financial, movement, purchases) are tracked and monitiored by both silent watchers employed by government and private organizations. Kevin will discuss tactics to protect ones privacy and safety from criminals and predators as well as sharing his unique perspective gained from his experience teaching survival skills to the world's most elite soldiers/operators.

Light refreshments will be served, and there will be opportunities for Q&A near the end of Kevin's talk.

Adobe Employees/Toastmasters members have priority registration and a limited number of seats are available on a first-come-first-served basis to the general public.
