Claudette gave her Ice Breaker Speech titled “Learning to Accept Claudette Lacombe”. Claudette talked about a book that she had read, called “Till death due us part: The Four Agreements - A Guide to Personal Freedom. The 4 agreements are 1) Be impeccable with your word; 2) Don’t make assumptions; 3) Don’t take anything personally; and 4) Always do your best. Claudette has learned that following these has helped to on her journey to find the real Claudette Lacombe. I think we would all be better people if we could learn to follow these four agreements in our lives. Thank you for sharing Claudette!
Table Topics were quite eventful today. Helen as table topics masters decided to use the basketball to determine the topics. Volunteers were tossed the basketball as they approached the lectern and wherever their thumb landed, that was their topic. Deborah, our guest, started off with what she was really good at - for her this was taking care of others; Terry, guest number 2 discussed what makes him smile - his 2 children aged 5 and 2 1/2, and their zest for life; Geetha talked about her most memorable trip which was her last one to India, she got to spend time with relatives she had never met before, and was there on a day of festival which she really treasured; and Elena ended off with her favorite thing to do was to cook food from different countries around the world, and of course to eat!! Terry was the table topics winner today!
