Westhills 10th Anniversary Celebration

Westhills Toastmasters chartered as a club on October 1, 2003.  On November 25, 2013, Westhills held a celebration for its 10th Anniversary as a club.

We were very fortunate to have a number of guests attend that included original members of Westhills, along with some of our local dignitaries from the Area, Division, and District.  Our Area Governor gave a toast to our club, and at the same time, one of our newer members gave her Icebreaker speech - we celebrated the past but also the future of WesthillsToastmasters!

Visiting Dignitaries (from left): Geetha Nicodemus (District 42 Public Relations Officer and Immediate Past Division J Governer); Valerie Davidson (Original Club Sponsor); Marvin Henry (representing Nandini Venkatesan, Original Club Mentor); Bev Swan (Club Coach 2006-2008); Mary Schoendorfer (Area J46 Governor); Jacquie Schnider (Past District 42 Governer, Past International Director); Peggy Thomson (Westhills Club President).

John Bauer, Division J Governor, was unable to attend that evening.  He has these words to share with us on the occasion of our 10th Anniversary:

On behalf of District 42 and the rest of Division J, I would like to congratulate Westhills Club for celebrating their 10 year anniversary.

The club was original chartered back on October 1, 2003, and has been a strong club in Division J ever since.

The quality of the Toastmasters program provided and the culture that has been created goes to show that you get as much from the program as you put in.

I would also like to thank all club officers, past, present and future for their strong leadership within Westhills and fostering a culture of personal and club success.

I wish I could be in attendance this evenign to deliver this message in person; however I am at another Toastmasters event giving a presentation for my ACG.

I am sorry in the delay in getting you this message.

I know that you will have a great evening and I wish you all the best in your future Toastmasters journey.

Current Westhills members in attendance that evening.

Thank you to all who came out and celebrated our wonderful evening.  The cake tasted as good as it looked!

Here's to many more years as a successful Toastmasters club!
