hirsute (adjective) HER-suut or her-SUUT



Hairy, covered with stiff hairs (botany).

For the shorn hairs on the head of every initiate, and on any other hirsute parts of their bodies, prickled and stood on end, as though an electrifying ghost briefly shared their body-space with them.
